Mark McKinleyChief Executive Officer
Mark McKinley is Paystr's CEO and the Principle of McKinley Technology Group. Mark brings 36 years of experience to the position as he has spent his career working in a number of technical, developmental, and marketing functions. Mark brings extensive knowledge of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in product development and new business start-ups. Some of his experiences come from leading various development and commercialized projects while working at the Dow Chemical company (1981-1991). Since leaving Dow, he has revolutionized the creative workings and development behind many products through his company, McKinley Technology. Mark and his family live in a historic city on the water, Bay City, Michigan. Mark enjoys playing guitar and music of all genres. He is an avid outdoors sportsman who enjoys any type of water activity in the summer and skiing in the winter.
Tom LauzonChief Information Officer
Tom has over 38 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. His experience includes his work with software development, information management, and data processing within the health care and finance industries. Tom's knowledge and experience is a very valuable asset to Paystr's development and progression. Tom and his wife Sally enjoy boating in their spare time. They once took an excursion all the way to Key West and back up the East Coast.
Michael HaidCorporate Market Innovator
Michael Haid is an entrepreneur with unique experience and capabilities in the creation and positioning of opportunities utilizing virtual currency for online gaming. Michael first became involved in this market niche in 1996 when he participated in the launch of the game Ultima Online. He became one of the first successful marketers of virtual currency within the online gaming structure, establishing himself as the largest revenue generator for the company. He continued to develop business positioning and promotional programs utilizing virtual currency for a number of new gaming companies and subsequently established a number of partnering relationships with supply shops in Singapore, Indonesia and China for the development of web pages with 24/7 "delivery of currency" capability. In 2006, Michael expanded his focus from the gaming industry to online poker. He became the first person to establish a rewards program that gave loyalty kickbacks or Rakeback to poker players. Rakeback has grown to a multi-million dollar industry which has spawned hundreds of sites and caused the entire industry to re-evaluate how the poker sites themselves reward their players. Since 2008, Michael has devoted 100% of his time to developing and managing virtual currency opportunities across various platforms. In 2010 he started a site called PokerOwned which rewarded virtual points to players for completing various tasks such as completing surveys, or watching videos that generated leads and developed product awareness for advertisers. Players are able to redeem these virtual points for Poker gift cards, entry into poker free rolls, products on Amazon.com or other perks.
Tim ReyChief Data Scientist
Tim has over 37 years of experience in the quantitative method field, many of which were spent with The Dow Chemical Company in various Reserach and Development related positions. Most recently, Tim has taken on an IT role at Steelcase where he is the Director of Advanced Analytics. Tim's experience makes him a perfect fit for the expansion and development of Paystr's Find Engine. Tim is a sportsman, enjoying everything from fishing to baseball. He even played semi-pro ball for six years post-high school. He and his wife Mary have been married for over 30 years and have four children. When Tim and his wife have spare time, they enjoy traveling.
Eddie KennedyMarket Strategist
Eddie Kennedy is President of DALOM ASSOCIATES LLC, a business and marketing strategy consultation company where he has led and conducted multiple consultation roles focusing on new product launch, revised business strategy and M&A support. Prior to launching DALOM, Kennedy held multiple management and global leadership roles with corporate, business and marketing responsibilities at The Dow Chemical Company where he worked for 33 years. These included new product development and launch, marketing management, customer price and margin management, competitive intelligence, merger and acquisition identification, acquisition integration, market research, e-Commerce political risk analysis and corporate strategy development. As part of his global responsibilities and customer or supplier interactions, Eddie traveled extensively during his career at Dow, spanning over 25 countries. The breadth of these responsibilities and learnings are directly applicable to the development and implementation of Paystr’s current and evolving business model and strategy.Eddie grew up in Houston, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Army, Eddie graduated from the University of Houston with degrees in Mathematics and Chemical Engineering and then joined Dow Chemical where he worked in Texas, Connecticut and then Midland, Michigan where he raised his family. Eddie enjoys a variety of things which include reading, skiing, traveling and wine.
Andrew AndersonSocial Media Marketing and Promotions Expert
Andrew Anderson is Paystr’s Social Media Marketing and Promotions Expert. He has over 16 years of business to consumer direct and social media marketing experience. He is the author of Andrew Anderson’s Guide to Marketing Your Business Online. Andrew enjoys educating undergraduate students in his role as an adjunct instructor of marketing at Saginaw Valley State University. Andrew holds an undergraduate degree (BS-Marketing) from Ferris State University and is an MBA graduate from Davenport University. He is currently a doctoral candidate working toward his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at Walden University. Andrew was recently inducted into Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity as a faculty initiate at Saginaw Valley State University. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys reading books, researching and solving business problems, attempting to play golf, kayaking and several other outdoor sports.
Kaitlyn PakeSocial Media Marketing and Promotions Director
Kaitlyn Pake is Paystr's Social Media Marketing and Promotional Director. She has over four years of experience in Public Relations and Marketing working for non-profits, music entertainment marketing companies, social media companies, and a variety of different online companies. A recent Saginaw Valley State University graduate, Kaitlyn has a degree in Communication and Marketing with an emphasis in Public Relations. In her undergrad, Kaitlyn was involved in a number of organizations on and off campus. Some of her greatest accomplishments were the many positions she held on the executive board of her sorority, Kappa Tau Epsilon, all relating to career in Marketing Communications. She is a driven, go-getter with a passion for success and professional development. Kaitlyn rarely says no to opportunities for personal growth and thrives in environments where she can put her skill set to good use. When she's not working, you can find Kaitlyn traveling, blogging, or enjoying a round of bottomless mimosas.
Erik BrownGame Development Director
Erik Brown is the Game Development Director for the gaming market of Paystr. Combining years of experience in the gaming market, his analytical mind, and writing skills, He brings the knowledge of the gaming world to Paystr's table. Erik strives to ensure that everything Paystr offers to our developer clients, and in turn the players that are their consumers, meets his high expectations. From translating the needs of the gamers, to quality control for the games we help brand and market, to spreading the word about Paystr to the developers that can benefit from our services, anything that has to do with videogames -- Erik is your go-to.Ever since the game Everquest came out in 1999, he has been enamored of videogames of every shape and size. From watching his father play when he was a child, to playing them throughout his life, and more recently beginning to create them, videogames have always captured his attention. Erik loves to experience the mechanics of a new game and really figure out what makes it tick. Erik grew up in Florida and Indiana, and went on to join the Navy. He studied Mandarin Chinese at DLIFLC in Monterey, CA and graduated with honors in 2014. In his spare time you can find him playing and making videogames, writing, and snowboarding.
Austin BallorFilm and Video Director
Austin Ballor is a recent graduate of Alma College where he earned a degree in business administration. He is pursuing a MBA through the University of Michigan-Flint with hopes of eventually moving forward to obtain a Doctorate in business administration. Austin has a true love for learning. Most of Austin's experience derives from the food service industry, in which, he currently operates a local restaurant. During Austin's undergrad he was involved in a number of organizations on campus. As an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, he served as president along with other top level positions. When Austin has a moment of downtime, you can usual find him watching movies, playing sports, rummaging through the fridge, or reading a good book.
Stacy PasteinMarket Analyst
Stacy brings twenty eight years of strategic corporate management experience in the areas of sales, marketing, business development and international joint venture formation from Dow Corning. In addition for the past fifteen years he has participated in the launching of a number of entrepreneurial start-up companies with the McKinley Technology Group. Stacy graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada in 1973. He lived in South Korea from 1982-1985 where he formed a Dow Corning – LuckyGoldstar group Joint Venture. He obtained US citizenship and moved to the United States in 1993. He began an entrepreneurial career with McKinley Technology Group 2001. Passions include family, exercise, two schnauzers and a maltese/poodle, coffee and cinnamon buns.
Steven RuppTech Support Specialist
Steven is Paystr’s Client Service Specialist. He graduated summa cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University in 2011. While in college, he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Societies. He has been working with Mark McKinley supporting the commercialization of new technologies since 2013.Steven has always had an interest in technology and took a variety of elective computer courses in college. He enjoys playing video games and learning about new technologies. He can usually be found listening to music or podcasts to expand this knowledge in his favorite areas of interest.
Erin Calhoun-DulaneyArtist Relations and Promotional Specialist
Erin Calhoun-Dulaney is one of Paystr’s Artist Relations and Promotional Specialists. She began her career in entertainment as a publicist, representing famous faces and lifestyle brands for nearly a decade. She has transitioned and combined that knowledge, continuing to bring visibility to her clients through her role in influencer outreach and celebrity branding. Erin graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Creative Writing, a curriculum proving invaluable to her work and her life.Erin is a people person. Whether working with celebrities on talent flow teams at internationally televised award shows, or juggling the many people in the lives of her two foster children, her ability to make personal connections has helped her remain sane in the otherwise seemingly insane worlds of the entertainment industry and foster care system.
Andrea SkarupskiArtist Relations and Promotional Specialist
Andrea has been working in the entertainment industry for 18 years, specializing in Concert Production, Talent Booking and Promotions. She has toured A-list Artists in numerous markets and specializes in International Tours. She produced an “Africa Rising” concert series that toured R. Kelly, 50 Cent, Ciara, Beyonce, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Seal, among many others in London, Angola, Nigeria and South Africa. Andrea is passionate about growing artists and their brands and uses her vast network to get artists the exposure they deserve.She is driven by her love of music and traveling and has combined those things to bring great music to people all over the world. She spent 3 years living in Johannesburg, South Africa where she consulted for the Mandela family and continued to produce concerts. Jason GussSports, Health, and Fitness Director
Jason Guss is one of the brightest and most talented young instructors anywhere. For the last three years he has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of “America’s Best Young Teachers” as well as the 2013 Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year and 2014 Michigan Player Development Award Winner. He was also named Golf Digest's list of best instructors in the state of Michigan in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013. While being ranked the #2 instructor in the State by his peers. He was also voted by that same magazine as one of the top 20 teachers in America under the age of 40. Jason was also named the Northern Michigan Teacher of the Year for 2009 and 2011. For the past fifteen years Jason has been fortunate enough to be around some of the top players in the world. He has also caddied for Hall of Fame Golfers Arnold Palmer and Hale Irwin. With this experience he has been able to coach some of his own PGA and LPGA players.Jason has also been a keynote speaker for the PGA of Michigan sharing his own insights into the golf swing. As well as speaking at the first ever Michigan Teaching and Coaching Summit in Michigan. He has filmed four Golf Channel Academy instructional pieces as well as being a guest on Michigan Golfer Live. Jason was also a key piece of the instructional series 20/20 golf on Fox Sports.
